The Forest, Balcombe
New guest accommodation and Courtyard at Balcombe. An exceptional project featuring specially manufactured bricks for arches to a Cloister surrounding two sides of a new Courtyard.
Lamb's Bricks & Arches provided the details for the arches, which lift the scheme out of the ordinary creating an intimate enclosed space, which contains a central water feature. Second hand tiles have been used for the roof while local manufacturers “Keymer Tiles” provided new tiles for the wall hanging.
The guest accommodation situated at the rear of the garage with games room over is designed to be self-contained to minimise energy consumption so that intermittent use is catered for.
Window colours and designs have been chosen to match the existing house so the new extension retains the feel as the original Arts and Crafts style house.
